andrew greif is a writer.

For the Los Angeles Times, I’ve covered how a basketball is made, the return of a disgraced Texas football coach, profiled track and field’s biggest names and six NBA seasons. For The Oregonian, I wrote award-winning features and beat coverage on college football and more, and was named Oregon’s sportswriter of the year in 2017 by the National Sports Media Association.

My work has appeared in numerous other publications, and has spanned mediums, with television appearances as a guest on ESPN and NBATV, a reporter for KTLA and FOX Sports, and an in-studio analyst for Bally Sports.

I’m an Oregon native but currently live somewhere much sunnier, near Los Angeles.
